My stay at Orange Guanyuan was a mixed experience. The room was comfortable and had modern decor, but the location was a bit out of the way for my liking. The service was helpful, especially with staff who could speak English, but I had some issues with my deposit being charged twice. Overall, it was decent for the price, but I might look elsewhere next time.

The deluxe queen room was modern but had a few quirks. The bed was a bit too firm for me, and I couldn't turn off the central heating, making the temperature uncomfortable at times.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally helpful, particularly Frank, who spoke English. However, communication was sometimes hindered due to limited English among the staff.

While the hotel is in a residential area with a 10-minute walk to the subway, it felt quite far from tourist attractions, which made exploring a bit challenging.
Dining

There was no free breakfast. I paid 10 yuan for a brown-bagged mix that was nutritious but not very tasty.
Facilities
6.0
Basic facilities like laundry and car hire were available, which is a plus, but I didn't use them during my stay.

My stay at Orange Guanyuan was enjoyable overall; the room was contemporary and clean, although I did miss a view from my basement Sun Room. The location was decent but required some walking to the nearest subway stations, and service was a bit hit or miss. Overall, it's a great choice for budget-conscious travelers. 😊

I stayed in a Sun Room with modern decor, though it was slightly small and located below ground. Despite the limited sunlight and minor paint issues, it was comfortable and clean. The shower pressure was excellent, and the air conditioning worked great.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and had limited English skills, though I did find one helpful staff member named Frank. They managed my check-in but seemed more focused on efficiency than providing personal service.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated between two subway stations, Chegongzhuang and Pinganli, each about 10 minutes away. While this was manageable, it did take a while to travel to main tourist attractions, which could be a downside for some.
Dining

Every night, I received a sweet bun and a peach, which was a nice touch, although there was a mix-up with portions. I enjoyed the little treats, but I'd hoped for a bit more consistency in their delivery.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered free Wi-Fi and a kettle with green tea, which I appreciated. However, I could have used more power outlets for charging devices, and there was no fridge available in the room.

My stay at Orange Guanyuan was enjoyable due to its modern style and overall cleanliness, but I encountered some issues with staff service and dining consistency. The room was cozy, particularly for the price, yet the lack of proper breakfast for two was disappointing. Despite the minor drawbacks, I found it a decent value.
Rooms

I stayed in a Sun Room, which was clean, modern, and reasonably spacious for a budget hotel. It had a great shower and comfortable air conditioning, though the bed was a bit hard and I missed having more power points for charging devices.
Service
5.0
The reception staff seemed a bit surly and not very helpful when I needed advice. They weren't rude, but I expected a bit more warmth, especially since I tried to communicate in Chinese.
Location
7.0
The hotel was well-placed between two subway stations, Chegongzhuang and Pinganli, which I found convenient. While it took about a 10-minute walk to reach either station, the area felt quiet and safe despite some tiring moments after long sightseeing days.
Dining
5.0
Although I appreciated the sweet bun and peach left at night, the mix-up with only one portion for two guests was a letdown. I enjoyed the snacks and milk they provided in the afternoons, but I felt breakfast could be handled better.
Facilities
6.0
The free wireless internet was decent for browsing, although it had its patchy moments. I liked having a kettle in the room for tea, but no fridge was a bit inconvenient. The addition of quirky elements like a goldfish and a Rubik's cube made it more charming.

I had a fantastic stay at Orange Guanyuan in Beijing! The room was modern and well-kept, though a bit small by American standards. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even better. The lack of a hot breakfast was a small downside, but there was plenty of cheap and tasty street food nearby. Overall, I enjoyed my time here, especially due to the excellent location and the vibrant atmosphere. 😊

Free and fast internet was a major plus. The room had an electric kettle, but there were no extensive facilities.
